Application & Tuition

Our submission period for this inaugural year is only a month long—from April 13 to May 11—and as we’ll consider applications on a rolling basis, we highly suggest you submit early!

We’ll start to welcome our first cohort not too long after our submission period opens, which means that our available seats may fill before deadline. The earlier you send in your application, the better chance you’ll have of securing your place in our inaugural gathering.

So if you’re eager to join us, mark your calendar for April 13 to send in your application, and we’ll get word back to you just as soon as we can.

We’ve done absolutely everything to make this experience as affordable as possible, we assure you. All packages include meals during your stay as well as enrollment in classes with both our poetry and ecology faculty, as well as an array of craft lectures, panels, and readings, and more.

For a complete list of everything included as well as more information about our applications guidelines and financial aid opportunities, read below:

Have more questions for us? If so, we’re here for you.

Here are several ways to reach out:

We’ll be hosting two online sessions—one on Sunday, March 29, from 3:00-4:30 pm, ET, another on Tuesday, April 7, from 6:00-7:30 pm, ET—when you can ask us anything. Please join one (or both!) of those sessions if you like. You can find links to register for those Zoom sessions here.

Also, if you’re coming to AWP in Baltimore, stop by our table (#T750) to chat with us in person.

Otherwise, feel free to message us! We’re easy enough to find—just send us an email to hellbenderpoetry@gmail.com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
